Horoscope Prediction for 5771
By Jmag Staff and Yaakov Kronenberg
We are meeting with our favorite Jewish astrologer Yaakov Kronenberg at his home in Jerusalem. Yaakov is taking a break from teaching Kaballah to host us in his study and bring us some insights as to what we may expect for this coming year.
Before we start with this new Jewish year, we want to ask Yaakov about a prediction that he had made the last time we spoke with him concerning seeing the worst aspects in the horoscope for the last several hundred years, yet we have not really seen anything drastic happening. Have these difficult aspects passed us?
Yaakov: It was a little premature to say that there will be wars in very near future, but none the less, there will be wars between countries because of lack of resources and there will be fighting inside countries because of the severe economic downturn. It seems that instead of the difficulties that I saw coming down in the political and military arena, we saw many natural and man caused disasters: Volcano in Iceland, oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, flooding in Pakistan, earthquakes in China, heat and drought in Russia; it seems that we are having more than our normal share of natural disasters.
In general this year will see a continuation of natural problems. All the outer major planets are hitting sensitive points on the Earth. This will continue for the next year. We will see major problems continuing in the next year both in natural disasters and environmental difficulties, also in strife between countries and with in countries. Uranus, the sign of revolution and change, just moved into the sign of Aries, the sign of war. We can look forward to wars between countries and revolutions within counties. Many countries that are in economic stress are seeing their citizens living in a stressful circumstance which is ripe for revolt. We are seeing a extremely high amounts of Americans who are now living with food stamps and unemployment compensation, many are slowly losing their life savings, and unemployment is at a record high. This phenomena is occurring in Europe also and is affecting the white middle class which is the basis of every Western country
Israel and Netanyahu are both under the sign of Libra and for the next year and a half Saturn will be transiting the sign of Libra which indicates that there will be much stress and pressure on both Israel and Netanyahu to make major concessions, perhaps to give in to Iran or make some peace deal. Netanyahu seems to be in for the next year or so. Look for the pressure to peak around December of 2011. Saturn has an orbit of 28.5 years around the sun. The last time we saw such an aspect was the beginning of the first Lebanese war. Israel seems to always be at war, but now it appears to be more at war than usual.
America’s chart shows Pluto transiting the house of Debt and opposing the house of Money. This means we can see much pressure on the American dollar and it losing value. It does not show the economy recovering as the financial institutions are saying. Europe’s chart is the only one that looks worse than America’s.
On the other hand, Israel’s chart shows it coming up in terms of financial stability. The property values have risen considerably while in America property values have dropped to all-time lows. Israel is developing as a player in the global oil market. While the charts of Europe and America are difficult in the financial arenas that of Israel looks positive.
Iran’s chart indicates that they will be attacked. They have so many enemies the question is who will attack. Besides Israel and the US, most of the Arabs are very frightened from Iran’s possible acquisition of nuclear weapon.. Of all people, it is the Arabs who want Iran attacked and to be reduced in its power level.
This new year promises to be a year for Israel of continued prosperity amid tremendous international pressure. For America, it will be a year of continued economic decline which will affect its global influence and military stature. Europe seems hopeless and Asia is on the rise.
Jmag: We thank Yaakov for his time in giving us these insights to the New Jewish Year.

Jewish Kabalistic Horoscope for 2010
By Yaakov Kronenberg and the Jewish Magazine staff
Each year we go to visit our resident star gazer, Yaakov Kronenberg, who has given us some very interesting and astounding horoscopes. Since we are beginning the new secular year, we have asked Yaakov to give us his forecasts for this new year.
Jmag Staff: Yaakov, what do you see in this coming year, 2010?
Yaakov: It is going to be a year with changes. The planets are starting to move signs. Saturn is moving from Virgo, which is a weak sign to Libra where Saturn is exalted and powerful. Uranus the planet of sudden change is moving from the weak sign Pisces to the very powerful sign of Aries, which is the sign of warfare. Pluto just entered the sign of Capricorn which is also very powerful. In the next year all three of these planets will be square and opposite each other. When two planets are at 90 degrees from each other it means that they are in conflict with each other. When they are 180 degrees opposite they are even more intractable foes. We see that Saturn is opposite Uranus, and both of them are squared to Pluto. Pluto is a very warlike planet so this year it looks like we will see a lot of problems.
The first time Saturn and Uranus went opposite each other in 2008, the stock market crashed and there was a financial crisis in the world. This time it seems that we are heading towards political crises between and within countries. There is a good chance that we will be seeing more military operations in the world. This seems to be in the middle of the summer, June or July. There is quite a chance that there will be a war with Iran. More than Israel is afraid of Iran, the other Arab countries fear Iran’s getting a nuclear bomb and it is quite possible that they are quietly pushing America to do something about it.
It seems that after every economic crisis comes political crises in their wake. In order to save their country, America went heavily into debt. Many other countries also went into debt to aid in reviving their countries. The fallout from the economic crises has not really begun yet. We can expect to see much instability both financially and politically. There are now several European countries which are on the verge of bankruptcy and if they falter they will trigger a larger financial crisis.
The world is heading for a shortage of raw materials and there might be a water shortage somewhere in the coming year. The shortages of raw material could possibly trigger political and economic conflicts between countries and even rebellions inside countries.
It will not be a quiet year; it will be one of much global action. Israel is going to be part of the global action; hopefully it will be only a small part.
Netanyahu still has a very difficult chart, but this year will go easier for him. Next year, 2011, it will become more difficult for Netanyahu and Israel. Economically speaking, Israel’s chart the economy is okay; the major problem in Israel is housing. Now it does not seem like there is much pressure for Israel to do much to make peace with the Arabs, but in 2011 there will be quite a bit of pressure put on Israel to make compromises or as they say, painful concessions.

Horoscopes for the new Jewish year 5770
By Yaakov Kronenberg and the Jmag staff
With a new Jewish year on the horizon and after seeing so many changes happening both in the world economy and in the political arena, with threats of nuclear war and terror constantly in the news, we at the Jewish Magazine went to visit our friend and veteran astrologist, Yaakov Kronenberg. We wanted to see what the stars have in store for the coming Jewish year.
Q. Yaakov, what do you see in the various horoscope charts for the world in the coming year?
A. What is happening in the whole world is a good question. When you look at the planets in the charts you will see such challenging aspects in just one year that we haven’t seen for the last two hundred years. I think that the optimists who believe that America is past their problems will unfortunately be disappointed. I see in the next year many more problems emerging; not just America, but also world wide.
We can divide the world problems into three distinct groups that interact on each other. The first is the obvious economic problem. Second are the political problem s meaning the problems within and between countries. Third are specific problems such as health problems and natural disasters.
Economically speaking, even though at this time the markets have been rising, it appears that this rise is based up on false optimism. There is a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction which means that people believe that they can solve their own problems or more specific that the government can solve the people’s problems. Last year when the economy almost collapsed, in November 2008, there was a Saturn Uranus opposition. Saturn symbolizes the stability of the world; all of the facets of the world that are needed for the world to function properly. Uranus is the planet of change or revolution. When ever these planets are in opposition, it causes a shake up in the world order. That happened last when the U.S. economy almost collapsed. This will happen again this year not once but three times. Once in the middle of September 2009, second time in the middle of April 2010, and third time, which looks like the worst, in the middle of July and extend to the middle of September 2010. This last one is mixed with other major bad aspects that could indicate a major world type conflict. The first two will be of a lesser intensity, perhaps only an economic problem or something which will soften the world up.
The entire world order is changing. After the final aspect in 2010 there will be a need and necessity to make a new world order to deal with the immensity of the world’s problems. The last time there was a major pandemic was in 1918 when approximately 100 million people died from the flue. That was the worst flue epidemic ever. At that time there was the Jupiter Neptune conjunction which we also we see peaking in January. I don’t think that the swine flue will be a severe as that flue but it is possible that there will be major health problems world wide which will have a major impact.
I personally see America as having a very bad chart, almost as if it is cursed. This is something like the ten plagues in Egypt. America has four planets in the house of money; the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter. America is built on money and two of the four planets Jupiter and Venus are considered the planets of good fortune. America’s success is because of their tremendous wealth. Now they are a nation with tremendous debt; their future is in the hands of their creditors. Pluto which symbolizes foreign countries is in the house of America’s debt, the eighth house. The foreign countries will make big problems for America’s currency and economy.
Barak Obama’s does not have the easiest chart in the world either. He has his ruling planet in the twelfth house, the house of hidden enemies. He has three planets in the house of open enemies and the ruler of his career in the eighth house, the house of debt, death and war. His Mars, which represents violence, is in the eighth house. When the leader has such a chart it symbolizes the nation will be at a time of war and crises. It could be that many people may die, or even the person himself! He will be under many threats during his presidency. Starting in mid August until the end of December his chart has much pressure on Mars therefore it will be a difficult time, even perhaps an assassination attempt.
There is a Pluto square Saturn aspect which is another violent indication. This is similar to another time when Pluto was opposite Saturn; this was the attack on the world trade centers, 9/11. So again we see an attack on the world stability and Pluto, the symbol of destruction, comes against Saturn, the world stability. It could be terror or political upheavals, increase of hostilities between countries or even in countries themselves, civil strife. This will be at several times: first about the end of November 2009, second time will be the beginning of February 2010 and the third time, the worst, will be during the late summer, 2010. So we see that there are major and difficult aspects which we have not see occurring so many times in history for many, many years.
In a few words, a major change in civilization is coming.
Israel is not going to be immune the world’s problems either; but it has divine protection. Bibi Netenyahu has a good chart, but later problems will emerge. Iran’s chart is not clear to me. Israel is going to have to deal with them, but it may not be until next summer 2010. The planet Saturn is moving toward the ascendance of Israel. That adds worry and fear to the country from other nations, there will be more pressure compared to what is now. The last time it happened was during the 1980 Lebanese war. It will happen soon and again it presents the possibility of war.
I think that Israel is going to have some bad effects from the world turbulence, but I believe that it will be ok there until the summer of 2010.
But by then we will have to sit down with Yaakov again and see what he sees.

Horoscope for Israel Independence Day 2009
By Yaakov Kronenberg and Jmag Staff
Yaakov Kronenberg is an old friend of the Jewish Magazine and has given over many amazing and startling horoscopes to our readers. Yaakov spends his days teaching and learning Kabala and nights doing horoscopes. He blends the best of the Eastern method of horoscopes with the Cabbalistic insights which give him a remarkable degree of accuracy and insight.
The Jewish Magazine came to visit Yaakov a few days before the Israel Independence Day since he had told us that each year the charts of each nation can be read on their respective anniversary which is similar to a person’s birthday.
Q. Well, we asked Yaakov, what do you see in the charts for Israel, America, Iran and the world in general?
A. Well that is a pretty big question. For the past couple of years I had been predicting a major financial crisis in the world and in particularly in America. Now we are seeing it playing itself out and by no means is it over yet. In addition it is known that every major financial crisis bring along in its wake a major political crisis – within countries and between countries. Countries now are going to extremes to prevent the financial institutions from collapsing by doing stimulus plans. They are worried that if they let the financial problems work itself out in a natural way; it will cause much social instability. People (and countries) have really three horoscopes, one when they are below their breaking point, one when they are at their breaking point, and one when they are above their breaking point. We are slowly approaching our breaking points as people lose their possessions and financial basis.
At this time it seems that the financial crisis has stabilized, but it may only be temporary. In the charts there is a conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune which means that there is an unreal or excessive optimism. This may last until July because that is when the conjunction begins to weaken. The crisis is really built around a Saturn and Uranus opposition which started in November 2008 and will continue until July 2010. During this period they will be opposite each other five times which means Saturn being the status quo of everything, the fundamental basis of assuming everything will continue in the present; Uranus is the planet of sudden change and revolution. When they become opposite of each other it gives a jolt to reality. Over the next three years there will be major changes in the world.
One major change is that there will be a major restructuring of the financial system in the world. It may mean that the dollar will no longer be the standard currency used by the world. In addition, the other financial currencies will also falter because of over printing of their money. As the financial crisis continues we will see more people losing their jobs and homes which will inevitably lead to political instability, social crises and government upheavals through out the world.
America, England and Ireland together with most of the Western and some of the Eastern European countries have really bad charts. Israel is in relatively good position to withstand these pressures; Israel will have more problems in dealing with the rest of the world in a political sense than in a financial sense.
Speaking of Israel, last time I did the horoscope for Israel I said that Netanyahu would win the election, not because he had the chart of a winner, but because it showed that he had the problems of a leader especially in the coming years. It looks like Israel’s chart shows Libra ascending and Netanyahu has four planets in Libra. Saturn by the end of 2009 will move into Libra; Saturn is the planet of hardship, obstacles and enemies. This means that it will be a difficult time for Israel; there will be a lot of political pressure on the country, it seems that by the summer of 2010 it will reach its climax. It seems that there will be much more wars in the world than what we are used to. It will not only be Israel that has wars, but many countries will be involved.
It is difficult to know what the correct chart for Iran is. Some people use the chart of Khomeini at the time when he returned to Iran and others use the time when the Islamic government was formed which was a few months after he returned (even for that there are two different times). The second opinion has the worst looking chart, so I am going to use that.
Iran’s chart shows that the ruling planets are in the ninth house; it shows that the house of religion is exalted. This means that they are fanatical and extreme and have a desire to spread their opinions all over the world. This will lead to clashes with other countries, especially Israel. Venus is their ruling planet and rules their destiny. It is strongly opposed by Saturn, which could very well be Israel. It may very well be that Israel will have to deal with Iran, and again the time may be in the summer of 2010. They have a very militarist chart, Mars, which is the planet of war, is extremely powerful in their chart and it is connected to Uranus which give a very violent nature for the government. Collision with the West is inevitable.
In summary, we are seeing something major in change happening to the world systems. This crisis is not a limited crisis that will blow over and we will revert back to the way things were. We are going to see big changes in the world order and stability. This could very well lead to problems for America’s Jews.
There is much more to say and hopefully I will be invited back to the Jewish Magazine offices to continue the discussions of the world horoscopes which show a big change, but we will leave the rest for now.

Jewish Cabalistic Horoscope for 2009
By the Jmag staff and Yaakov Kronenberg
The new secular year is approaching and with it will come new and different influences into the world. We went to visit our dear friend and respected kabbalist, Yaakov Kronenberg who lives in Jerusalem. Yaakov has given the Jewish Magazine so many outstanding horoscopes and remarkable predictions and our readers are always interested in what he has to say. Yaakov keeps himself busy teaching kabala by day and charting horoscopes at night for the many people who seek his advice.
We started by asking what would be with America in 2009.
Yaakov: I had been predicting a major financial crisis but it actually turned much worse that I originally predicted. From the charts it appears that it will get even worse. America’s chart is very stressed out; Saturn, the planet of anxiety and tension is squaring Mars, which makes things very volatile and difficult. This happened in October when the markets crashed. It will re-happen again in the beginning of January to the beginning of February. This does not indicate anything good for the economy or the stock market.
Two other major aspects happening with the outer planets, Pluto and Uranus, that indicate a new and uncharted territory. Pluto is going opposite four planets that are in the American house of money. The first one is going opposite Venus in the beginning of February and this does not augur well for the American dollar or economy. Pluto is now going into Capricorn which means that there is going to be a big change in corporate structure. The government will have more powerful influence on how business is going to be run. Uranus is going to go opposite Neptune, Uranus is radical change, Neptune is mysterious and hidden changes are revealed. This means that a lot of irregularity in business will be revealed and this will wreak havoc on the county.
Until now the problems have been isolated to the financial sector, the stock markets and the banks. That is were where the losses have really been until now. But now the ripple effect will begin, companies that are secondary are going to feel the effect and the problem will spread into the mainstream. We shall see bankruptcy in the luxury items sector first and then it will spread into the main middle sector. It will spread into other companies and restaurants. There will be a general slowdown in any company that does not generate a good profit margin which will with be hit hard. Each industry has those who can produce goods cheaply and those whose production costs are expensive; the cheaper producers will weather it much better than the ones who have a higher margin of profit.
We may even see bankruptcies in states and cities that can not raise money for their budgets. Many states and cities are already in bad shape and what with fewer workers in the work force earning money, meaning fewer tax dollars and more on unemployment, it will be a very difficult period for them. The best thing that the government can do is to make stimulus package, to re-build roads and bridges, like another public works administration. The main problem here is that America will print more money to pay for all of this, but it may cause the destruction of the dollar.
Jmag staff: What do you see for the rest of the world?
Yaakov: For the rest of the world, the current financial crisis will become affected even more. Remember when ever there are great financial problems it gives rise to leaders who come into power by virtue of blaming the previous administration and leaders. We have seen this in Germany with Hitler, in Italy with Mussolini, and this goes on in other countries. When they are looking to place blame, the most standard place is on the Jews. We can look forward to the Arabs trying to influence the West that it was the Jews on Wall Street who caused the world’s problem. There will be a big increase in anti-Semitism in the rest of the world. In addition, we will see America loose their leadership in the world; look for China and/or India to step into a leadership mode but don’t expect much from them.
It is a good time to divest from the dollar and gold or silver looks like a good buy. It may be also worthwhile to purchase the Swiss Franc or Canadian or Australian Dollars.
Jmag staff: What about Israel and the elections coming up?
Yaakov: Looking at Israel’s chart, we see that Netanyahu’s chart is entering into a very difficult time of life which indicates that he will be the next prime minister. When he comes in he will have many problems, and problems on top of problems. He has four planets in the house of enemies meaning that he has enemies inside the country, outside the country, everywhere – Hezbollah in the north and Hamas in the south, the Israeli Arabs are beginning to rebel. This means that the country will have many enemies because if he is the head of the country, the Zohar says that everything goes according to the head and he will most certainly be the head.
It looks like Barak will be a big loser. He chart looks really bad. It shows that he really has an inferiority complex, he tries to act tough, but it is a cover up – with Neptune crossing his Sun he will experience ego loss. He will lose badly. Livni, the head of Kadima party, shows much talent, but unfortunately for her, her charts do not show her as being on top, rather as a secondary leader.
There is going to be political trouble surfacing. Israel has about a year and a half until there will be major trouble. It may be in the middle of 2010 that there will be a major crises even perhaps a war. When we get closer to that time period we will see it better. But for now we are going to see a financial crises in Israel in January and February 2009 with irregularities coming out and problems that we did not know about surfacing. These are leftovers from the previous (Olmert’s) government. It will weaken the financial stability and strength of the country.
I do not see any major war in 2009, but if they do, they should do it in April 2009, but I doubt it. In April, Saturn is going to square Uranus which indicates big heightening of tension in the country, which leads to the possibility of war, but it is more probable that the war will come in the summer of 2010.

Horoscope for the New Year 5769
By Yaakov Kronenberg and the Jmag Staff
For the new Jewish year we went over to visit our famed resident Kabalistic astrologist, Yaakov Krkonenberg. Yaakov teaches kabala by day and at night does horoscopes.
We asked Yaakov what does he see for the coming year in view of the fact that it is a politically active period with new elections in the USA and perhaps in Israel .
Yaakov: The elections in America are interesting since no one in America really knows about Obama, except from his autobiography which he basically wrote his own history. He shot up from no where to become senator and within a relatively short period he is running for president.
We see that he really thinks highly of himself, he sees that he is capable of leading a country. When we look at his chart, we see that the sun is very powerful in his chart. It works best with the sign of Leo which is where it was when he was born. So we see that he thinks very highly of himself. The sun is connected with Uranus, which makes him very autocratic meaning that he will be the decider and everyone will just have to accept his decision or leave.
His has two ruling planets: Saturn in the twelfth house, the house of the secret enemy; which generates a person that when he was young felt that he was mistreated and did not get a good treatment from society. He is a person who wants to change the system; he did not get treated fairly, he feels that many people are not treated fairly and he wants to make changes. Many people will be surprised at the radical changes that he will try to make once he gets in. The other ruling planet is Uranus in the seventh house, the house of open enemies, which means there is going to be much opposition to the changes that he desires to make.
He has a very radical chart. He does not accept the status quo. He is the type of person who comes into your house and starts to re-arrange your furniture. He is not telling now what change he envisions, but it will be quite radical even though now he only says that he wants to make a country in which everyone works together, yet in the end, he will be quite a strong liberal radical left wing person.
We see in his chart that Aquarius is rising which give him the character that he professes that every one should believe in what they think, but in reality, he only extends that to the way that he believes. In short, he is tough on those who are independent thinkers and have ideas contrary to his thoughts.
In an election year when the current president is so disliked, it is difficult to see McCain winning. Add to this the fact that McCain does not have the powerful chart that it would take to pull off the election anyway. Even though he is a war hero and much liked, it does not seem that he can overcome the deep dissatisfaction that the Americans have with Bush. McCain has Saturn going over his sun, which means that his ego is being knocked down, he may even have heart problems – and we see that he is having problems just getting equal publicity. People are not even looking at him; all attention is focused on Obama.
It seems like Obama will win the elections, however, he will have so many problems that his position as president will not be enviable. It is written in the Medrash that Sodom and Gomorrah were not decreed to be destroyed until they legalized homosexual marriage; it may be the same in America. We see a really decedent society that Obama is being called upon to fix. I do not think that there is much to be done. These homosexuals are people with no real long term view on life; they are looking only for immediate pleasure and they have no other goal except to get as much immediate pleasure as possible. What can Obama do to change this?
JM: What about Israel?
Yaakov: The same thing applies in Israel . Olmert is very much disliked in Israel. He will begin to have serious problems very soon. Mars is starting to pass over four of his planets. Mars is the planet of war. There will be a big movement to bring him down. For some one to take over from his party and to lead a government would require someone exceptional, and there is no one from this party that has these qualities. I think that there will be elections faster than most people think.
It appears that Netenyahu will most likely be elected. Elections could be around February or March, but the current government will be big losers.

Horoscope for Israel on its 60th Birthday
By Yaakov Kronenberg and the Jmag Staff
Every year we like to visit our famed Kabbalist astrologer, Yaakov Kronenberg, to hear his predictions for the coming year. This year is a big year for Israel; she is celebrating her sixtieth year of statehood. We wanted to hear first hand what could we expect to see in the future so we checked into Yaakov’s place in Jerusalem for a warm cup of tea and glimpse at the stars.
Yaakov had previously predicted the economic crises that the Americans are now facing in our article (http://www.jewishmag.com/117mag/horoscope/horoscope.htm) for last Rosh HaShannah. It is worth looking at what he said there. In the meanwhile, we asked Yaakov what he saw for the coming year.
Yaakov: The world is going through major fundamental changes, economic, political, and social. We are seeing now the balance of power of the world switching from the West to the East, meaning from America to China. America and the western nations are now undergoing a tremendous economic crisis; they are no longer producers but rather importers. They are a consumer society whereas China is a producing society. America has tremendous debt and many financial problems that it must solve. This is obvious with out looking at the stars.
One of the things that I do see in the stars is that Saturn is in Virgo. This means that there will be shortages of agricultural products. Prices of food are going rise and there will be shortages around the globe. Many countries are stopping exports of food. In Argentina there have been food riots because of export taxes on the food. They want to keep it in their country so that they can sell it cheap to their own people which come at the expense of farmers who want to export it to make high profits. When countries start to apply taxes and tariffs it causes problems in the supply and demand system.
Beside this, you have countries like China and India that have combined close to three billion people who are now coming into money. They want to start to eat food like western countries do. This is going to put much pressure on the agricultural system since there is a tremendous need for food in the East.
Besides all of these agricultural problems, there is one more problem: the problem of ethanol. There are farmers who can get more money by selling their crops to use for ethanol, thereby reducing the availability of foodstuff on the world market. This is leading to a perfect storm for an agricultural crisis.
Besides this, there is a crisis in metals, oil, and just about any hard asset in the world because of the increased demand of the ascendancy of the Eastern countries. This is similar to what we find in the last Mishnah of the tractate of Sotah, (chapter 9), “In the time heralding the messiah, meaning immediately before his coming, chutzpa will increase, prices will go sky high, and even though there is plenty of grapes, wine will be very expensive, and the governments will be atheistic, the Galilee will be attacked, the border towns will be disserted, and the people from the border towns will wander aimlessly from city to city….” It all sounds too much like our time frame. It could be that the fight over natural resources may lead to war, but this is in several years in the future.
JMag: How will this affect Israel?
Yaakov: Let me give you a short preface. In Jewish horoscopes, each individual Jew is born with a difficult mazel (horoscope) and also the Jewish nation has a difficult mazel, but God designed this way. He gave them the divine commandments that would lift them above the bad mazal. With this in mind, we can see that the government which has been doing everything possible to make obstacles to observance of G-d’s divine commandments has one bad chart. The government has no policy other than maintaining itself; what kind of war can they fight when they do not want to win? They only want to maintain the status quo. What can be expected of such a government? They have no policies, no long term planning. What are they doing about the water problems? Nothing! What about the natural resources and drought? Nothing!
It seems that Israel is going in the direction of those countries that are going to suffer when the agricultural problems come. The Arabs see that the government is weak and they are taking advantage of it. The Arab armies are just waiting for the time to attack. They see the Israeli army is weak; this encourages the enemy to attack. It is just a matter of time until there is a war.
I can see this in the stars, this because in this year the House of Death is greatly emphasized. The planet of Mars, which is war, is in the home. It seems that there will be some sort of invasion, and much danger. The Sages tell us that after the Shemita year there is danger of war and we are presently in the Shemita year. There is a lot to worry about.
The government is strongly disliked but it is very difficult to bring down. No one protests because they see the politicians as all the same and are thoroughly distrusted. Neptune the planet of disillusionment is very strong in the Israeli chart and this is reflected by the attitude of the Israeli who are disillusioned by their government; this includes all the political parties. They voted for Sharon and look what they got!
I spoke about Olmert in a previous horoscope (http://www.jewishmag.com/102mag/horoscope/horoscope.htm) where I said that he was morally lacking and can convince himself that everything that he does is correct no matter how despicable. His children have turned out rotten, his daughter became a lesbian, and his son became a draft dodger and deserted the country. He was a rotten father and is a corrupt leader. He has a Saturn and Mars conjunction which means his sense of timing is terrible so he can not fight a war.
Although all of the above looks very bad, remember that the Jews are above the mazel of the horoscope, there will not be a third exile, and by our doing the divine commandments of God, we will somehow continue since it is God Himself who watches over the land from the beginning of the year to the very end.

Jewish Horoscope for 2008
By Yaakov Kronenberg and the Jmag Staff
Last time that we spoke with Yaakov, he gave us a pretty depressing view of the American financial markets. (see previous horoscope ) So we asked Yaakov if he felt that his prediction was vindicated by the actions of the markets in the past several months.
Yaakov: I don’t think that the market has yet hit bottom. In August, Saturn entered into Virgo. One of the effects of that is that it causes nervousness, irrational and rational fears, and insecurity to come into the world. This is also showing up in the stock market. There remains more volatility to be seen. Soon Saturn will enter the fifth house in America’s chart, it is presently moving in now, this is going to dampen people’s desires to speculate. When this happens the stock market will drop a bit.
Jupiter is now moving into the eighth house, which is the sign of Capricorn. Jupiter’s nature is to expand things so we may see America printing much paper money and together with this will be inflation. Prices will go up. In general it is a good time to buy commodities, like gold and silver. Saturn in Virgo causes shortages in agriculture. Saturn is shortages and Virgo is agriculture. Investing in agriculture should be good, especially cotton, sugar, livestock, just like most things that have not yet risen much.
In general, America’s chart shows that Gemini, Mars and Uranus are on the ascendant. This means that America, which was founded on the principle of freedom, and Gemini which likes to express its opinion, will express it throughout the world. With Mars included, that means that they are willing to do this even using the military.
Beside this, America has four planets in the sign of Cancer which is in the house of money. From the chart, we see that America which is the richest country believe that to have freedom you need two things: Money and Education. It is America’s wealth that brings them military power. All military powers before they are brought down begin to lose their money. America has made mistakes, like not winning the war in Iraq and then pushing in billions of dollars with no tangible results. In addition, other countries are trying to cause them financial problems, since they can not harm them militarily they are trying financially, such as China, who keep their currency artificially low, in order to take much dollars and trade away from America. Europe too is pushing that the world standard be switched to the Euro. Add this to the obligation of America to pay Social Security to millions of people. Putting all of this together, I see serious problems ahead for the dollar. This translates into a fall in America’s military capabilities.
Israel is always dependent on America, since most of what they sell goes to America. There is a saying that when America sneezes, Israel catches a cold. From the charts, it seems that Israel is seriously afraid of Iran. America only wants to get rid of Iran’s nuclear weapons, and then they are prepared to live with them. But Israel is more frightened since they view them as a greater threat. Iran supports terrorists groups against Israel.
From Israel’s chart, Saturn falls on the main point of the Iranian nation, that means that if America does not do anything, Israel may well attack them. Olmert’s chart show a person with no morals or ethics. He will do anything to stay in power. Note that anyone who did something wrong in the second Lebanese war has retired or quit, but Olmert can justify anything that he does. Since he is at the lowest point in popularity, it is possible that to get re-elected, he may try to strike Iran, seeing this as a mode of bolstering his image.
If Israel or America does not deal with Iran now, then in two or three years time, it could cause much trouble since Saturn goes over the Israeli ascendant, foreboding hardships. The last time it happened was at the time of the first Lebanese war.
Inside Israel, I see a split up in the authority of the Israeli government. Neptune is in Israel’s fourth house. This means a lot of disillusionment in the government. We already see many alternatives to the government. As an example, the education system is not functioning properly. Over fifty per-cent of the population does not rely upon the state school system for its education and instead they send their children to non-state run schools. How can a government survive if the citizens do not learn the ethics of the state?
In addition, there is a growing disbelief in the ability and proper intentions of the army. There is a mounting feeling that the army is being more considerate towards their enemies than for their own soldiers. Now we see that the mothers want to tell the army how to fight.
The health system is also seen as faltering and not providing proper health care. All of this reflects the growing disillusionment with the Israeli government. Soon you will see more groups that come to supplement the poor services that the government provides.
Regarding the Arab problem, I see no solution at hand. America needed Russia as an enemy to give it purpose and to spread democratic ideals in the world. Now that Russia is no longer an enemy, America has no real purpose. Similarly Arial Sharon existed only to fight the secular Arab enemy, Arafat. Once Arafat died, Sharon was no longer needed in the world. However Olmert is not capable of fighting or negotiating with Hamas. He prefers to try to set up Abbas, who is a total incompetent, but is secular and with him he feels he can deal. However he is mistaken, Abbas will not take over Gaza. There is more of a chance that Abbas will lose the West Bank to Hamas, than Abbas will take over Gaza.
In order to fight Hamas, which is a religious group, a religious leader is needed and at this time there is none. The only thing that is in the favor of Israel is that the religious people have multiplied and are gaining rapidly in percentage of the. Tel Aviv today looks like Jerusalem did some twenty years ago. There are religious people everywhere. This will bring more and more change. Eventually the religious bloc will take over the reins of the government and they will be empowered to neutralize Hamas. But as long as the liberals run the country, they will have no idea how to deal with religious enemies.
In summary, I am optimistic about Israel. The country is changing for the better, and this is because of all of the disillusionment. This causes people to look for alternative solutions and some of these alternatives are better that that which is available from the government.

Jewish New Year Astrological Horoscope Predictions for 5768
By J. Mag Staff and Yaakov Kroinenberg
It has become a Rosh HaShanah tradition at the Jewish Magazine for the past few yearto visit our ‘resident’ astrologer and kabbalist, Yaakov Kroinenberg. Yaakov who has been involved in learning and teaching Kabbalah for many many years and studying Astrology has given us such interesting predictions such as civil war breaking out in Gaza and Sharon succumbing only to his own self. Because he has had such a high success rate in his predictions, we were curious to know what he saw in order for this coming year, 5768.
Yaakov: It looks like we are going to have a coming year of upheavals in three different spheres: economic, military, and nature.
Economics: It appear that a major economic crisis is in store for America. It appears now as if it is just starting with the stock markets dropping. It looks like this may just be the beginning of a very serious economic crisis which will see the American people loosing confidence in the financial markets. Wall Street has had its share of dishonest transactions, packaging and selling products of dubious economic value and sub-prime loan packages. Banks have sold many of these packages to other financial institutions, but no one knows if there is any value in these packages.
The horoscope chart shows that the fall out from all of these dubious practices are going to come in this year. Pluto is going through the house of money on the American chart. There are four planets in the second house, showing the great importance of money to the American people, the tremendous materialism of the American society. When Pluto passes over these planets then there will be an upheaval of the American economic system. The fallout will have tremendous repercussions in the entire world. When a country looses its economic supremacy, it means a loss of military and political supremacy.
The question is if the Americans can do something to save the situation. It will be very difficult for the Americans especially when they begin to see the financial shenanigans that Wall Street has been engaged in. The housing market is just beginning to feel the problems that are coming from those people who have signed up for mortgages without having to pay for two years, which the banks knew clearly that they would not be able to pay back. But the banks based their strategies on a booming housing market – if the borrower could not pay, the banks would take their property at an inflated market price. Unfortunately for the banks, the prices are dipping. Soon the debts will come due and the vast inabilities to pay back will cause havoc in the markets.
Israel also will be very affected by the financial situation. This is a global crises although most pain will be felt in America. Still Israel and her markets are influenced by America.
Military: For the last two years, Saturn has been in the sign of Leo which means that the rulers are going to fall. That was a major theme in my past horoscope predictions and we have seen major upheavals in governments: Britain and France changed their leaders, Sharon and Castro have left because of illness, the radical Left has taken control of Bolivia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. The Palestinian Authority was overthrown by Hamas. We see countries inside of countries: Hezbollah inside of Lebanon, Hamas inside of Gaza, we see the ultra-Orthodox are developing a limited autonomy inside of Israel; Gaydamak is taking over functions that the Israeli government should supply in S’derot.
We will see all over the world small wars starting up by the Islamics in various small countries all around the globe. Where ever they can start one, they will begin to confront the West. This is another aspect that has not yet finished.
Israel’s chart shows that Saturn is going into the twelfth house. This means that there are a lot of people planning things against Israel which will probably manifest itself in about two years from now when Saturn crosses the ascendant of the Israeli chart, approximately 2009.
Nature: Now that Saturn has left the sign of Leo to go into the sign of Virgo, which rules nature, agriculture, medicine. Saturn signifies problems; it will bring problems in all of these areas. There will probably be problems with droughts, hurricanes, earthquakes. We can look forward to agricultural shortages. Problems with the health system and health care – they are not run correctly and the American Social Security and Medicare programs have a tremendous amount of obligations which they must fulfill and they will have great difficulty fulfilling under the present rules.
Looking on the good side, for Israel it seems like the coming year will be a relatively peaceful one. Although Israel will be impacted from the problems from far away as described above, it will not suffer the same degree as other countries.

What Will 2007 Bring?
By Jmag Staff and Yaakov Kronenberg
Yaakov Kronenberg, our resident kabbalist, has given the Jewish Magazine many startling and interesting predictions for the future. Predictions that we have seen materialize with our own eyes. He currently heads a small kabbalist yeshiva in Jerusalem and in his spare time he enjoys making horoscopes.
Yaakov has given us such startling predictions such as gold going up drastically and that Sharon would succumb only to his own bad health. So we were anxious to hear what he sees in the new 2007 horoscope forecast. Last time we spoke with him he had predicted that incumbents would have difficult time being re-elected and we saw that the Republicans lost heavily.
He also predicted that the Arabs would be going through a period of extreme tension that could even lead to civil war. We see that happening now.
So we put the question to Yaakov, what do you forecast for 2007?
Yaakov: The horoscopes show a continuation of the last year. Saturn is in Leo which is not a good combination. Leo represents kingship and government; Saturn is the planet of bad news. That means that for two and a half more years it will be bad news for most governments – which we have already seen in the process of change. Many governments are changing; there is the death of leaders, (Sharon and Castro – both not functioning as leaders) and voters upsetting current incumbent governments. The Republicans were overthrown in the House and the Senate. We have seen a number of governments in Europe change: such as the change in Germany, Blair is leaving in England, France is going to have elections soon and a change is very likely. In Israel, Olmert is basically disregarded, but since the opposition is even more disrespected, the people feel that they have no options but to continue with poor leadership. In many countries we will see governments being replaced by their citizens.
Also we see that Islamic countries have increased their desire to control the world. They are moving weapons into Iraq, into Lebanon and into the Palestinian controlled areas. Ecuador which was a Western oriented government just got replaced by an extreme socialist anti-American government which is close politically and geographically to Venezuela which is super anti-American. Both of these countries have been reported letting Al-Queda come into to open bases and ferment discontent in other republics in South America.
Also the radical Islam is starting new front in Somalia. They want to gain control in North East Africa to control shipping. America is supporting Ethiopia in fighting against Somalia so that the radial Islamics should not gain a threshold in Africa.
The Islamics see that America has limited troops and no other country wants to help, therefore they are re-channeling their terror objectives from merely blowing up buildings or airplanes to take over entire countries.
They are trying to take over Europe by aiding large population groups to move there and gaining control of the political system. In other countries they are trying to take over militarily. This year they may try to go into Pakistan where there are nuclear weapons and maybe in several Asian countries where there exists Islamic populations. It is possible that they will try to gain control of countries of the former Soviet Union which have oil fields.
It seems like this is the beginning of a major world war. The Islamics are making the major moves in a covert manner and the West is not responding. The question is what will the West do? Will it respond? Or will the West act like Israel, letting the Arabs build up strength and wait to respond only when there is a major attack.
Bush’s nature according to his horoscope is not to wait but since he has political problems he feels that it is necessary to holding back. Talking about Saturn in Leo, George Bush has Leo on his focal point and Saturn has been on it for the last year and a half. Now it is starting to pull a way. He has been very limited during this period, everything has been going against him and now it seems like he is at a turning point. Things will start to go better for him and he will feel freer to take action and do what he thinks should be done. It is very possible that America will attack Iran this coming year since Iran is one of the major fermentors of terror today.
Also in the coming year, we will see more and more economic fighting over limited natural resources. China and India are growing tremendously and are beginning to modernize as are many other smaller nations in Asia and Africa who are trying to develop themselves. This is putting a strain on natural resources such as iron, nickel, steel, copper, wood, oil, even agricultural products. As the world’s population grows and uses agricultural lands for large population settlement, the needs of these enlarged population masses are beginning to increase and the available natural resources begin to diminish. We may even see fights over some of these resources, such as water.
In the first stage, each country will try to tie up natural resource for themselves. Later on, meaning in a few years, the needs for the resources may even lead to war, especially for water. For investments, natural resources could be a very good place to invest your money.
